Save Main St. USA for later and head straight for the 'mountains' - Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain in Frontierland or Space Mountain in Tomorrowland. Families with younger children may want to head directly to Fantasyland complete with Cinderella's Carousel, Dumbo and a 'hunny' of a ride, The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh. Mickey's Toon Town Fair is the best place to see the Disney characters and a visit to the official residences of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse is compulsory! The charming Magical Moments Parade is every day at 3pm so get in place 45 minutes beforehand if you want an unobstructed view. The same applies to the nightly SpectroMagic Parade (seasonal). Guests often notice that every time they visit Walt Disney World there are new attractions and shows to experience. There's always something developing at the Disney resort, and here are some of the highlights coming in the nearby future: Attraction Openings and Renovations Magic Kingdom The classic attraction, The Haunted Mansion, is receiving new show effects to bring into the 21st century. Some of the new additions have already been used in the original version in Disneyland in California and have received great reviews from the guests. For the little princesses out there, the popular Bibiddi Bobbidi Boutique salon from Downtown Disney is opening a new location inside Cinderella Castle. Visitors to the salon will receive magical makeovers from "fairy godmothers in training." Epcot Disney veterans have already noticed a big change to the Epcot skyline, as the Sorcerer Mickey wand is coming down off of Spaceship Earth. Inside the attraction is also receiving some technological upgrades, thanks to the new sponsorship from Siemens. The original 1982 O Canada film is also being replaced with a new film starring Martin Short. Disney's Animal Kingdom Asia will soon have a new restaurant, Yak & Yeti which will offer both quick service as well as full sit down dining. Special Events Pirate and Princess Party For eight nights in August and September, the Magic Kingdom will offer the opportunity to visit after dark for special entertainment. Daytona Beach Limousines

The parties include meets and greets with Disney characters, the Pirates and Princess parade and a fantastic fireworks show that rivals the best Disney has created. For kids who never grew up, adults are also given the opportunity to dress up in costume as their favorite pirate or princess. If you are planning on attending, not that the parties are a seperate admission tickets and quanities are limited for each night. The small amount of guests within the parks can mean shorter lines, so it's sometimes worth it to visit just for the enjoyment of the lower crowds. Disney's Night of Joy Guests enjoy live concerts from the Christian artists in gospel, pop, rock and urban music. This is also a private event and regular tickets do not admit guests into Night of Joy. The event takes place over two nights, Friday, September 7th and Friday, September 8th. The artists slated to perform are: Friday, September 7th - Third Day, Chris Tomlin, David Crowder Band, Jaci Velasquez, Brian Littrell, BarlowGirl, Leeland, Jessie Daniels, Sanctus Real Saturday, September 8th - newsboys, Steven Curtis Chapman, Salvador, Mark Schultz, Smokie Norful, Kutless, RED, Mary Mary, Flyleaf Playhouse Disney in Concert Preschoolers and toddlers who are fans of the Disney Channel's Playhouse Disney shows will love this concert series specifically targeted for them. The concerts will be performed from on the weekends from August 30th to October 28th. Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, "Tastefully Inspired" The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is a wonderful event for anybody who enjoys cuisine. Along the World Showcase lagoon, guests can sample exotic dishes and beverages from twenty-five different countries. Seminars and culinary demonstrations are given daily from talented chefs, and for the true foodie there are premium ticketed events with amazing and elaborate spreads of food. Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Looking for a safe way to trick-or-treat? This after hours Magic Kingdom party offer holiday fun for the whole family. It's also great option with those for smaller kids, as the party lives up to it's "Not-So-Scary" name. The party includes fun entertainment throughout the night, including an elaborate parade with the famous Disney characters and a fantastic fireworks display. If you're planning on attending you might keep in mind that a large amount of candy is given out each night. You may want to come up with a game plan on what to do with the extra goodies to avoid sugar overload.
